BAND PLAYS UNTIL 2 AM

Famously in-the-pocket guitarist Randy Jacobs met Blues Hall of Fame vocalist and songwriter Jenny Langer in 2022, when they were brought together by Virgin Records for what was meant to be only a 2-day recording project. The fit was so right, Jacobs invited Langer to join The Boneshakers, creating a new incarnation for the band Jacobs put together in 1996.

Langer knows her way around multiple genres, having appeared with Buddy Guy, Derek Trucks, The Nighthawks, and tenor saxphonist Ron Holloway.

Randy Jacobs’ boundless skills have found him on stages with Booker T Jones, Was (Not Was), Stevie Wonder, BB King, Bonnie Raitt, Robbie Williams, Mavis Staples.

Says Don Was: “Randy Jacobs is one of the funkiest and most original guitar players on Earth”. He is “…up to his knees with both feet deep in the groove. Jenny Langer’s powerful vocals provide the perfect counterpoint…”

For bone-rattling blues, and funk, and rock; strains of Motor City, Crescent City, Memphis soul, Muscle Shoals; ooze and growl, The Boneshakers have it covered.
