Brooklyn-born, Worcester-raised and Chicago-based, Joanna Connor has shared stages with James Cotton, Buddy Guy, and Junior Wells. She’s been nominated for a Blues Music Awards for her ferocious slide guitar. And she was invited into the inner sanctum of Joe Bonamassa’s notoriously massive gear collection. The virtuoso and vintage guitar collector himself produced and played on Connor’s 14th album 4801 South Indiana Avenue. Connor came to his attention through a video of her electric version of Walking Blues, and after he re-tweeted it on his site it went viral. Guitar World, referencing said viral video: “Joanna Connor is a powerhouse.”
